Mr. Zhang Wei, General Manager of CNSGC, was elected member of the Board of Directors of the International Seed Federation (ISF) at the 59^th ISF Congress held at the Czech Republic on 26 May, 2008.

This event will help further exert China’s influence in the seed sector, play the important role of state-owned enterprises in communicating with enterprises and the government, carrying out exchanges and cooperation in the seed sector, promoting healthy seed trade, and pushing forward more international seed trade and cooperation.

ISF is a non-profitable, non-governmental organization with seed association and enterprise members coming from over 70 developed or developing countries. It provides an international platform for the majority of seed traders and breeders around the world. The organization plays an important role in regulating seed trade rules and promoting agricultural development.
